This policy explains how Cruise Mutt handles information associated with the Android app Cruise Drink Tracker. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@cruisemutt.com.
Information stored by the app
The app stores the cruise line and ship you select, cruise dates and duration, date-line settings, venue names and locations you enter or change, and drink counts recorded against venues and cruise days. It also stores the settings needed to show your active cruise, upcoming cruises and history.
This information is used to provide your personal cruise records and tracking history. The app uses your phone's date and time to organise tracking days. Selecting a venue records your choice; it does not use GPS to detect your location.
Where your records are kept
In the version covered by this policy, cruise and drink records are saved in the app's storage on your device. The app does not transmit these records to Cruise Mutt and does not require a Cruise Mutt account or an internet connection for cruise tracking.
Android backup is enabled in this version. Depending on your device, Android version and backup settings, app data may be included in system backups or transferred to another device. Those services are managed by Google or your device provider, rather than by Cruise Mutt. Check your device's backup settings and the provider's privacy information for details.
Advertising, tracking and permissions
This version does not include advertising or developer-operated analytics. It does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone or device location. Cruise Mutt does not sell your cruise or drink records or share them with advertisers.
When you contact support
If you email Cruise Mutt, we receive your email address, your message, and any details or attachments you choose to send. We use that information to answer your enquiry and investigate the issue you report. Our email service provider processes this correspondence to deliver and store email. Please send only information needed for your enquiry.
Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any related dispute or applicable legal obligation. You can contact support@cruisemutt.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have sent us. If we need to retain information, we will explain the reason in response to your request.
Keeping and deleting your records
Your cruise records remain in the app's storage until you delete them or the app's stored data is removed. To remove a cruise and its drink history, open that cruise's settings and select Delete this cruise, then confirm. Completed, locked cruises can also be deleted.
To remove all locally stored app data, use Android Settings to clear the app's storage. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local data, but a system backup may remain or restore data if you reinstall. Manage any backup copies through your device or backup provider. Cruise Mutt cannot access or delete records held only on your device or in your system backup.
Security
The app uses Android's app storage protections. Protect your device with a screen lock and keep its software updated. Anyone who can unlock your device and open the app may be able to view your records. No device or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Google Play and other services
Google Play and your device provider may process information when you download, update or back up the app under their own privacy policies. See Google's Privacy Policy. This is separate from the cruise and drink records stored by this version of the app.
Children
Cruise Drink Tracker is intended for adults of legal drinking age and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to Cruise Mutt, contact support@cruisemutt.com so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the app's information-handling practices change and show the revised date on this page.
